  • Selected time of day (Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night)

All information is stored locally on your device only.
The app does not collect, share, or transmit any personal data such as your name, email, or location.
No account registration or online database is used.

3. How Your Information Is Used

Your locally stored data is used only to provide app functionality:

  • Displaying and organizing your past journal entries

  • Showing writing streak and total entries

  • Sending daily reminders or alarms (if enabled)

  • Exporting your data as a plain TEXT for personal backup

    The export file is generated locally on your device and is not uploaded or shared anywhere.

    4. Permissions We Use

    Mood Journal requires a few permissions strictly for its core functions:

    android.permission.SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM

    		   To schedule accurate reminder notifications.


    android.permission.RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED   To restore reminders automatically after       
       device restart.


    Notification Access    To display local daily reminders (if enabled)


    The app does not access camera, contacts, storage (except export), location, or microphone.

    5. Data Storage, Control, and Deletion

    • All entries, moods, and preferences are saved only on your device’s internal memory.

    • You have full control over your data.

    Data control options available:

    • Delete Single Entries: From the My Entries screen.

    • Clear All Entries: Permanently delete all journals from Settings.

    • Export as Text: Save your journals as a TEXT file locally (for your personal use).

    • App Uninstall: Automatically and permanently deletes all stored data from your device.

    No backups or copies of your data are ever stored on our servers.

    6. Data Security

    • Mood Journal works fully offline.

    • Your data never leaves your device.

    • Internet connection is required only once if you open this Privacy Policy page.

    • No third-party servers, APIs, or SDKs are used.

    7. Third-Party Services

    Mood Journal includes no advertisements, analytics, or external SDKs.
    The app does not connect to or share data with any external service.
    All functions occur locally within your device.

    8. Children’s Privacy

    Mood Journal is designed for general users aged 13 and above.
    We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
    If such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately.

    9. App Updates and Versions

    We may release updates to improve performance or add features.
    These updates do not change how your data is handled or stored unless a new version of this Privacy Policy explicitly states otherwise.
